Dashboard improvments

Some improvments have been made on the Dashboard such as

  • New layout
    The design of the dashboard has been designed to be more readable
  • Last day job status
    Last 24 hours canceled jobs has been added to the dashboard
  • Last used volumes updated
    A new column (Pool) have been added to last used volumes widget

Database support

Many bugs have been fixed in this version to improve compability with different DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite).

As well, exception handling with PHP PDO has been improved.


Many efforts have been made to update and improve the different translations of Bacula-Web.

In this new version, Bacula-web is translated into the languages ​​below

  • German
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian
  • Swedish

If you are interested in updating or adding other languages​​, please follow instructions in the documentation

Configuration improvments

Many efforts have been put in this version in order to prevent unexpected behavior and bugs

  • Check now if at least one catalog has been configured in config.php file
  • Sample config file comments have been updated (more clear)

Application and database exception handling

In this version, a lot of effort have been put to improve application/database exception.

If something goes wrong, you'll see a more clear and undestandable error message (see below).

Internal code improvments

Bacula-Web 5.2.2 internal code have been improved

  • Upgraded PHPLot
    PHPLot version have been upgrade to the latest version (PHPLot 5.5.0)
  • Cleaned internal PHP code
    A cleaning was done at the internal code of Bacula-Web in order to increase legibility and allow the code to evolve.

Fixed bugs


As for the previous version of Bacula-Web, you're able to create a bug report in the bug tracking tool for Bacula-Web.
Don't forget to specify the version 5.2.2
